Managing injuries and illness
- We have two part-time members of staff, qualified as first aiders, who job share the role of Duty First Aider in school (previously known as Matron). They are not in a position to provide the medical services of a doctor or nurse to students.
- If your child has an ailment or an injury please ensure you book GP appointments as appropriate and administer medication at home as far as possible. Please do not ask students to ‘go and see matron at the start of the day.’ Of course if a student develops a problem during the day then they will be attended to as necessary.
